Summary

Like in the C.L.D.L., very much a middling year for the team. Defeat at Old Colwyn to start, then tit-for-tat wins and a loss in the next three games didn't put the side in a particularly good position. This was acutely felt in the next match as the team became the first to lose to Rhyl in the N.W.C.L. for four years. Three wins out of five then followed, the 10-4 home win over Old Colwyn being the one with the most kudos. There were fun and games at Kinmel Bay when two of their players had a right ruckus about the style of their play but won the match anyway, while the side's next match saw a welcome 11-3 win. A home win over Rhyl helped to assuage the earlier loss (as did Rhyl winning a second match with a higher score), and the team came quite close to holding Benllech to a draw. A loss on St Asaph's 'anything-might-happen' green was no surprise, and an 8-6 home win against Pen-y-Groes ensured the 14-0 away defeat was a distant memory. Finally, the long trip to Bala held an emotional end to the season, with the home team's captain losing his final game and thereby the Section 'D' averages.
